Luke Donald overcame a sluggish start at the Zurich Classic with a blistering last three rounds 65, 66 and 67 to reclaim his world #1 spot from Rory Mcllroy.

Finish at -17, to miss the play off by just 2 shots showed that Donald is coming back to his record breaking 2011 form. After a long spell at #1 Donald has now reclaimed his spot from Mcllroy for the 2nd time.

The highlight of Donald's round was a 148 yard MP-59 iron holed out for eagle on day 2. Donald's schedule for May includes the BMW championship at Wentworth - the venue where he first reached his #1 status with a win in 2011.
