Tour Blade
Assimilating the best features of Mizuno's great blades with an enhanced feel, the MP-68 delivers exact shot-making for professionals and highly skilled amateurs.
3D Mucle Pad
After research into vibration and sound (modal analysis), Mizuno R&D specified the frequencies required to create pure feedback and also the techniques by which to deliver them.
MP-68's scalloped muscle back and shorter hosel allow a lower, more centered COG location for a penetrating, workable ball flight. Neutral bias allows shots to be shaped both left and right.
Modal Analysis Design
A 3D muscle pad enables Mizuno’s Grain Flow Forged construction to deliver the purest feedback of any Mizuno iron.
Head shape, offset and turf interaction are designed around feedback from Mizuno's Tour Workshops on the legendary MP-33. A more cambered top edge, straighter leading edge and compact PW create a look that surpasses even Mizuno’s previous blades.
This model is designed to conform to the 2010 Condition of Competition rule.
Grain Flow Forged
Heads forged from a single 1025E Pure Select mild carbon steel billet for pure feel.

"The 68 takes everything we've learned from our previous blades"
"The 68 takes everything we've learned from our previous blades in terms of shape, offset, turf interaction and combines them with our findings in modal analysis (vibration) into one clean package.
We started with the MP-33, by common consent a modern classic and looked at the tools at our disposal which could improve it. The biggest gains came from our research into feel – in blind tests over 80% of our Tour players chose the MP-68 design over the MP-33...
We also made a few minor tweaks to the head-shape. Cambering the top edge gives the MP-68 a much more playable look, while scaling down the PW addresses the one acknowledged imperfection of the MP-33."
