New shafts introduced for JPX EZ driver and fairway wood

Additional shaft availability for EZ wood line

Mizuno has responded to a surprise uptake by better players for its JPX EZ wood line with the addition of 3 new custom shafts.

The additional custom shafts,

  • Diamana B-Series 60 & 70
  • Graphite Design AD GT6 & GT7
  • Fujikura Motore Speeder 6.2 & 7.2

are all available as part of a preassembled JPX EZ driver / fairway wood, or separately with Mizuno’s JPX EZ adapter – allowing players to swap out their existing shaft.

David Matthews, Mizuno Europe commented, “The JPX EZ woods have been somewhat of a surprise package with the type of player they’ve attracted. Initially the larger footprints and MOI was designed with mid to slow swingers – trying to create additional ball speed and hang time.

“Then our tour players started putting the JPX EZ woods in play – and the type of player using them suddenly moved. As a consequence, we’ve made the move to offer some additional high profile shafts. The Fujikura Orochi Black Eye which is the standard shaft, will be a little too light for the stronger guys. With the 3 new options, there’s plenty for the better player as well.”
