Our competition winner Matty Evans gets his dream 18 at Bearwood Lakes GC
Matty Evans wasn’t expecting too much when he signed to the Mizuno Twitter feed. He was happy enough with his new JPX825 Pro irons. Not much more than a month later he was teeing it up with Luke Donald and Chris Wood at the glorious Bearwood Lakes GC in Berkshire after winning our ‘Perfect Round’ comp.
Matty and his +1 (brother Pete) played a wet front 9 with former world #1 Luke Donald before the weather broke for a back 9 with Chris Wood. “It was an incredible experience,” said Matty. “I’m using to playing with mid handicappers, so to watch these two close up was amazing. They were great guys too and we’ll remember the day forever.”
