Lewis and Sei Young Kim tie 2nd in the Bahamas

Mizuno’s ladies team continues to gather momentum

Early into 2016 and Mizuno’s leading LPGA players stated their intent for the season at the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic –  with world No. 3 Stacy Lewis, and defending champion Sei Young Kim (ranked world #5) both finishing -5 for joint 2nd place

American Stacy Lewis, demonstrated her desire with a streak of three-consecutive birdies on Nos. 13-15 to cut the lead to two shots.

“I knew it was going to take something like that today on this golf course with less wind,” said Lewis. “You know you needed to shoot a number.  Just got off to a bit of a slow start.  Making bogey on 8 really hurt, but proud of the way I came back on the back nine.”

Lewis played JPX850 Forged irons with Blue IP S5 wedges, while Sei Young Kim used the smaller MP-15 Ti Muscle irons.

Lewis and Sei Young Kim form part of a powerful ladies team at Mizuno for 2016 – also including LET 2015 Players player of the year Nicole Broch Larsen and Solheim Cup player Gwladys Nocera.
