GIVE NOTHING – New JPX EZ iron features Boron infused steel

Mizuno expands use of Boron in Grain Flow Forging process

Mizuno has announced today that the full new JPX EZ line will be available from Feb 16 in European retailers.

The series is headed by a new JPX EZ Forged iron using Mizuno’s Boron infused mild carbon steel.  The iron merges the world of the ‘distance iron’, with that of the softer, more controllable forged iron.

Alongside the 2 new JPX EZ irons are new JPX EZ driver, fairway and hybrid that were first spotted on the European Tour at the BMW Championships.  The driver offers a simplified approach to adjustability – taking forgiveness back to a pre-adjustable age.  Mizuno believes that the move to adjustable design has made modern drivers more difficult to hit than their pre-adjustable counterparts.

Yet the most impressive development of all continues to be Mizuno’s evolution of its renowned Grain Flow Forged manufacturing process, with the introduction of Boron to its mild carbon steel.  Tetsu Kanayama and David Llewellyn explain the full significance of the material in a new short film – The Boron Story.
